What is the Expo?

The Utah Artist Expo 2008 is a celebration of arts and Utah artists. This is the Fourth year for the Expo and the biggest year.

It includes:

Competitions in various forms of Performing and Visual arts:

The preliminary competitions are held through out the Wasatch Front at various music stores, theaters and galleries.

Prizes:

Winners of the competitions are awarded various prizes. The Grand Prize Winner receives a cash prize.

Clinics:

Clinics are special performing/teaching workshops held by professionals in their field.                                                               

Example: One clinic this year will be:                                                                                            

The Electric Bass as a Supporting and Lead Instrument                                                               

Led by Bassist, Eric Blood

Many clinics in different fields of the arts will be held through out the week.

Concerts/Art Shows:

Concerts and Art Shows will be held through out the week which include local artists and headliners brought in specifically for the Expo.

Past Headline Talent have included The Coasters from the 50’s & 60’s and the classy Three Baritones.

The main venue, in 2008, will be The Music School.

Jazz Festival:

New this year will be the Utah Artists Expo Jazz Festival 2008 and will include great Utah and world renown jazz musicians.
